Scottish bash for 68018, 66732 & 66739 - 21st-22nd September 2016

Headed North with the intention of caning in 68023 on the Fife commuters, then after a beer in Edinburgh, HST to Dundee to bring the Sleeper back South with 66732 & 73969. It all went pear-shaped when 68023's train was cancelled due to the ECS arriving late, so after a couple of pints I hatched a rather desperate plan B .... HST to Dundee for the Sleeper, but then instead of carrying on to Preston, bail at Edinburgh, fester for a couple of hours, then do the 04.50 Fort Bill to Queen Street with 66739 & 73970, back to Edinburgh to (hopefully) get another stab at 68023 on the morning turn. It all went well ......... but they swapped 68023 - fortunately for another winner 68018 - phew !!
